The structure of the Minor's degree plan is very straightforward. But, it will be important for you to remain in close communication with the Global Studies Coordinator to make sure that the classes that you take will count towards the minor.
Below, we have tried to anticipate a few questions you might have.
FAQs for the GLBL Minor
To add the minor, open and fill out a Change of Major form.

No. Students are welcome to sign up for an internship (GLBL 497), but it will not count towards the minor.
There are two separate issues:
- Whether SSU will accept the classes from the University in which you study
- Whether the classes will count towards the Global Studies Major
For the first issue, all CSU-IP programs are guaranteed to transfer. If you choose a different study program, the courses are likely to be accepted because SSU accepts courses from accredited Universities throughout the world. But, be sure to choose an upstanding Study Abroad program.
For the second issue, the Global Studies Coordinator, Prof. Rheyna Laney, will decide if the classes will count toward the minor.
